Rapport de mission de la conférence du Cameroun par B. Eric

Report of mission of Cameroon

" GOD ALL mightiness " (“ALL MIGHTY GOD”)

The Cameroon conference supported by France took place on Thursday, August 20th, 2009 until Saturday, August 22nd, 2009. Missionary Marc and co-workers of Paris prayed to help this French-speaking country where three shepherds, Emmanuel, Legrand and Christian, remain faithful to the Gospel. We had eager desires to encourage, support and to catch vision upon this African French-speaking country while preparing this first conference (is it really first???). God blessed abundantly this conference in spite of many material and spirituals difficulties.

Long before this conference, Msn Marc CHOI and Msn Timothy CHUNG coworked and prayed to help and strengthen shepherds of Cameroon. They keep faith in spite of many temptations. God worked in spite of the Problems of phone communication and internet connections during preparation time. How to encourage them in the preparation of their testimonies and their messages? When shepherd Emmanuel received the invitation (direction?) to prepare the conference, he had no vision but by faith, he accepted. He worked a lot to find a conference hall, hotel rooms for the guests, sound system, guitar and restaurants. All that was difficult because of the spirit of corruption of the Cameroonians who don’t keep their promises. Emmanuel was very busy with the preparations but also by his wholehearted invitations to lead several new sheep to this conference.

Missionary Timothy Chung arrived the 15th August  to help the Cameroonian shepherds to prepare their messages. The French team consisted of missionary Marc, shepherd Thierry and shepherd Eric, as well as Sister Monique. Three days, which preceded the conference, were for us the opportunity of preparation and prayer for Cameroon. We visited the university, which was in front of the hotel, and we even invited some sheep to the conference. An Internet café next to the hotel allowed us to have the support of Paris coworkers for the translations for (shepherdess Gift and shepherd Donald from Nigeria) and shepherdess Sylvie from South Africa who came support our conference with prayer.

The conference  started on Thursday, August 20th at the middle school of Meyon Meyeme, in the capital of Cameroon, Yaoundé.. Msn Marc CHOI gave us the message from 1P 2: 9-10 so that we have the vision upon Cameroon as a chosen and holy nation. Then, there were 3 Bible study, two in French and one in English. We studied Luke 24. Shepherd Legrand Dongmo (Cameroon) carried the message with power so that the Gospel worked in their hearts of several sheep who came. . The lunch was taken with much fraternity and after noon we had the time to meditate the word and to write the testimony. God helped every one to write his personal testimony. In the evening, it is in the hotel that we continued the programs. Shepherdess Sylvie (South Africa) shared with us her touching testimony of her changing from princess's of the world into a princess for God.  Shepherdess Gift (Nigeria) also shared her life testimony.

On Friday, 21, shepherd Eric NICOLLE (Paris), preached the message on the vision of Ezéchiel 37 ” Make from bones a great army ”. As sheep didn’t arrive yet, this Bible message was for one young Cameroon man, who was in charge of the sound system and listened it with attention.

The sheep who were attended the first day of the Conference, came also to the Friday Group Bible study, what brought us much joy. We studied the Bible passage of " Just Believe " (Mark 5). This message was preached by shepherd Christian Bernard (Cameroon) with much fervor. All participants wrote and shared their testimony on this Message during the afternoon. The weather was beautiful as well outside as in the heart of every participant. In the evening, at the hotel place, shepherd Thierry Clio (Paris) gave the message '”Jesus healed a born blind “ (John 9). Sister Monique NGO GOG (Paris) shared her life testimony. We prayed so that God give her a burning heart for the mission.

On Saturday, 22, we learnt “The faith of Moses” preached by Emmanuel Tonkeu (He 11) and followed by the closing message by Msn Timothée CHUNG (Botswana) (Mt 28). His message planted in us the vision that Cameroonian shepherds  will cowork and bear much fruit.

As the message was powerful Christophe, Franck, Njoh, Kennedy, Joseph, Jules, Olivia, Robert and Serge attended our Cameroonian conference for the first time and experienced the Power of the Gospel. Totally 21 persons attended this conference. It brought us the vision and we prayed so that all these sheep may continue the study of the Bible to become the future shepherds and future missionaries for French-speaking Africa.

On Sunday, we had the worship service in the hotel and three sheeps joint us, Olivia, Robert and Serge. Msn Marc preached about the first command, “Love you one another ”. It was to encourage the shepherds to cowork because there are often impeached by the physical distance. Sh. Legrand doesn’t work in Yaounde, and we pray that God may open him a way to join his brothers. May they cowork to celebrate the worship service and begin the Bible study with the sheep who attended. I was happy to offer my Bible to Robert with the vision that it will be used to study with shepherd Emmanuel. We pray that Cameroon may become a royal priesthood and a holy nation.
